Dr. Shewmaker

Dr. Lynn Shewmaker, founder of Vision One, received his doctorate of optometry from The Ohio State University and has been practicing in Northern Kentucky since 1981. He is a member of the Kentucky Optometric Association as well as the American Optometric Association. With more than 27 years of experience, Dr. Shewmaker provides unparalleled vision care services to his patients through the utilization of the latest diagnostic technology for early detection of ocular disease. With strong beliefs in community support and involvement, he continues to donate his time and services all throughout the Northern Kentucky area.

Dr. Subler

Dr. Ryan Subler received his doctorate of optometry from The Ohio State University, College of Optometry and joined the Vision One staff in September, 2008. He holds extensive knowledge in ocular disease and geriatric care, having participated in externships in both Mansfield and Toledo, Ohio. He also completed a one year, voluntary residency at The Eye Center of Toledo, with focus on diagnosis and management of Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Dry Eye, Diabetes and Cataracts. Dr. Subler is a member of the Kentucky Optometric Association as well as the American Optometric Association and brings more than 2 years of eye care experience to the Vision One clinic.

Dr. Mercado

Dr. Jennifer Mercado received her doctorate of optometry from Illinois College of Optometry and has lived in Northern Kentucky since 2005. She provided eye care services at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida and at VA clinics in Dayton, Ohio and Huntington, West Virginia. Joining Vision One in February 2007, Dr. Mercado is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Kentucky Optometric association and brings more than four years of eye care experience to the Vision One clinic. She has special interest in children’s eye care, contact lenses and is skilled in low vision rehabilitation and ocular disease management
