Meet Our Founder

Emeritus Lynn Shewmaker, O.D.

Dr. Emeritus Lynn Shewmaker, founder of Vision One, grew up in Price Hill and received his doctorate of optometry from The Ohio State University. In 1981, he began practicing in Northern Kentucky and just retired this year after 40 wonderful years! Dr. Shewmaker strived to provide unparalleled vision care services to his patients through the latest diagnostic technology and establishing personal relationships with each patient and their families. He is a member of the Kentucky Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, as well as being board certified by the American Board of Optometry.

A resident of Villa Hills, he has strong beliefs in giving back to the NKY community and donates his time and services throughout the area. He is specifically passionate about mentoring youth on a local and national level. Dr. Shewmaker is a mentor at Mentoring Plus and is involved in working with the Journeymen group in Asheville, NC supporting adolescents on their journey to becoming men. In his downtime he enjoys growing and canning vegetables, staying physically active, and action movies.
